| The bank was opened in January of 2000 by a small
group of Indian investors to serve Atlanta’s
small business entrepreneurs, especially among the
area’s fast-growing Asian American community.
Originally called “Horizon
Bank,” we changed our name by choice in
December of 2005 to “Haven Trust Bank”
because we didn’t want to be confused with
an out-of-state bank that was expanding into Georgia
and using a similar name.
Today, Haven Trust Bank is one of only six community
banks in the United States owned by Indian-Americans.
While we initially derived a majority of our business
from Indian clientele, we are now equally active
in wooing non-Indian customers.
